Sunday, July 7th

Sunday was a fairly laid back day, and we ate a few rounds of pancakes at a leisurely pace before bothering to do much of anything :-)  The kids ate like they didn't know when they might ever be fed again. Three pancakes each, sausage, blueberry muffins and cherries!

Lincoln thinks it's hilarious to decorate his face with cherry juice - he was trying to give himself a cherry-stain-beard.

Scarlett, meanwhile, mostly manages to not leave so much as a trace of cherry on herself :-)

Afterward, Lincoln wanted me to help him make faces to put on his fingers so that he could "make a puppet show" with his hand.

The one with the pointy hat is the witch (obviously).

Scarlett really wanted to take a posed picture with Waverly :-)  But she kept looking down at her and so all of the shots ended up blurry - still cute!

In the afternoon, we went shopping and grabbed a late lunch out at Come 'n Get It! - it's one of our favorite family diner style places.  While out, Norma offered for Jim and I to sneak off for a little movie date and we gladly took advantage after dropping the crew off at home.  We saw "White House Down" and it was way better and more cheesily entertaining than I'd expected :-)

It was a fun, relaxed day!  The kids went to bed early (bonus!) because they hadn't napped, and Waverly had been sleeping all evening so I went and woke her up to give her a bath and last feeding.  Grammie Wright humored me by posing for the obligatory Norma-washing-a-newborn photo.
