Saturday, August 3rd

A crisis had occurred in the Wright Household - we were out of the World's Greatest Jam!  Obviously, a trip to Serenbe was in order and being that it was my birthday weekend we decided to splurge and have lunch there, and to invite our favorite neighbors along for the fun.  We had a great time!

Nana asked Waverly, "Are you ready to go?" and was rewarded with a big smile - she gives such huge grins to my mom!  Not that I'm jealous or anything...

A smile directed my way!  She melts my heart :-)

Jim offered that the dads could drive together in our minivan and take all four big kids, and the moms could ride together with the littles.  I was quite suspicious of this offer (too good to be true) and made him hash out the terms of agreement in full detail ;-)  Caroline and Waverly were quite stylish in their matching car seats - in our vehicle, it was a quiet ride on the babies' part and lots of chatting for us moms.

Victoria, Charlotte and Scarlett - hanging out at the farmer's market.

Lincoln always wants to dress like his daddy - looking very handsome in their plaid :-)

Our favorite neighbors (plus Lincoln - we like him pretty well, too)!!

Our crew, minus Jim and Lincoln (taking the picture).  This was the first time I wore Waverly in the wrap facing outward - it didn't last long but she LOVED it!

Lincoln and Caroline cheese'ing it up!  I was impressed - Lincoln was chatting to Caroline and as I pointed my (phone)camera at Lincoln and said, "Hey, let me take your picture with Caroline," her head whipped around and she yelled "CHEESE!" like a pro ;-)

Victoria and Caroline~

It was Salsa Fest (food, not music) at the farmer's market and so while the adults sampled a tray of salsas and voted for our favorite, the kids ran around on this wooden platform and tried to harm each other with sticks... a perfect way to keep busy! :-p

We had a few minutes to spend before lunch, so the trampoline was a perfect distraction for the kids!

Plus a little baby-tossing so the dads wouldn't be bored ;-)

Group lunch at The Farmhouse.  Jim had called ahead and gotten us a reservation; they wisely put us in our own private room.  A win for them and a win for us!

Triple Trouble!  Obviously plotting something.

Three little southern belles, lounging on the veranda post-lunch.

Sisters!

Waverly, hanging out with daddy, but ready at a moment's notice for a fight (fists up) ;-)

Scarlett, Waverly, Charlotte, Caroline, Victoria and Lincoln - a well named bunch! :-)

Of course we had to stop by the general store for a cold treat on our way out!
