Sunday, September 8th

With errands to run, time to hang out, and science experiments in the afternoon, Sunday was a great family day.

Lincoln is super excited to get his Captain America Halloween costume :-)  He dug out his shield and face mask so that he could practice his Captain America stance.

Daddy-Daughter love.  This picture makes my heart happy!

Jim was going to take the big kids out to run errands so that I could get some dedicated cleaning accomplished.  Scarlett took Lincoln back to his room to help him pick out some clothes - they emerged and Lincoln said, "Scarlett helped me dress like a Secret Spy!!" haha  Note the serious look.

Jim treated the kids to one of their favorites for lunch - Taco Bell!

After nap time, the kids did several science experiments - Scarlett swirling the food colors in her tray during 'Color Symphony.'

Their absolute favorite experiment was converting a liquid to a solid - otherwise known as making Slime.  The first step was emptying 4 oz. glue bottles into their mixing bowls.

After stirring up their glue with water, food coloring and a Borax mix, the kids began squishing and squeezing it together with their hands, complete with squeals of it's insane grossness :-)

It's so fun!  Post-dinner, Jim and I sat at the table and played with Slime "for the kids" for almost an hour ;-)

Scarlett created this slime-outline of Argentina.  Pretty accurate (from this angle it would be upside down).

Victoria crafted this happy girl's head :-)

Lincoln found his tiny baby doll "Caroline" (after our neighbor's littlest girl), and ran over to plop it on Waverly so she would have company while she dozed in her swing. So sweet.

Finally, it was time for a pre-bedtime show - Lincoln loves to sit perched on the arm of the sofa, all snuggled in his blanket.

When Waverly woke up it was time for some baby-head eating with Daddy ;-)
